Automotive and motorsport.
Automotive and motorsport is part of our DNA, being a deep passion since I was a kid, trying always to understand and to find new technical solutions to improve the mechanic of the vehicles, to make them faster, more dynamic and efficient. The fact that till today I am regularly practicing motorsport and testing in first person the new prototypes is a clear indicator of how much I like car technology. I had the opportunity and the pleasure to collaborate and even lead industrial and R&D projects with the biggest and more prestigious automotive brands in the World, like Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lancia, Maserati, BMW, Mercedes, AUDI-VW, Porsche, Renault, PSA, Nissan.
Today our focus is on the clean and green transport, using concrete and sustainable technologies that can be the real answer in the short and medium term, like the high efficient hybrid technology, enriched with the energy harvesters, the hydrogen, and the application of AI to the management of the power train. We are also working on the full electric solution as a medium to long term solution for mass transport application.
We have an integrated approach to the automotive engineering, working both on the materials, the manufacturing processes, the AI management, the environmental impacts and the related circular economy.
We consider the aerospace sector to be our basin for the development of advanced technologies and materials. From exotic light alloys to flexible manufacturing technologies of the highest quality, such as recent developments in additive manufacturing systems, robotic assembly, dry chip removal techniques and laser assisted high speed machining. Since the 90s we have been active on aerospace technologies both for civil and military applications, ranging from production systems, to the development of materials, to surface engineering, up to recent developments on hybrid systems for propulsion, spanning from basic research projects to the final application and testing on the field. Personally, I have been a member of the board of directors of the aerospace consortium AMRC with Boeing for over a decade, which includes the largest manufacturers on the planet, like Boeing, AIRBUS, Rolls Royce and many others.

Our main activities in the domain of the nanotechnology is in the co-design, the development, the testing and the application of advanced surface engineering coatings for different sectors (hyperfunctionalized surfaces, nanostructured based massive and coating materials).
This target is achieved with a integrated approach that cover the design and engineering excellency and the setup of the related processing technologies always looking at the environmental aspects and the total life cycle approach.
At the same time we are actively developing new energy saving strategies and collaborating for a real concrete diffusion of the renewable energy. Thanks to the large network of customers and industrial partners, the exploitation capabilities are covering a wide range of sectors like the new renewable energy, the eco-building, the environmental friendly industrial application of the nanotechnology.
